For those who are new to my page, I am an actress best known for my role as "Carrie" on the television show Little House on the Prairie. I shared the role with my twin sister Sidney. We started our acting career at the tender age of 3. The intention of this page is to stay in touch with my fans and allow them keep up to date on what I'm doing.
Life continues to be busy, crazy, and a whole lot of fun. I am going to try to keep this page updated and as current as possible.
Two years ago I joined a boxing gym to take Cardio Kickboxing classes. It didn’t take me long to master the high intensity workout of the class. I loved working on the bag and the whole atmosphere of the gym. The sounds, the smells, the familar faces you see. I have made some great friends and had some truely wonderful experiences.
After 6 months in the cardio class I felt that I needed more of a challenge so I spoke with the owner of Kid Gloves Boxing, Robert Oritz. Robert told me to try the adult boxing class. I was hooked…. I loved it. I competed in my first amateur bout on Aug. 4, 2007.
These days I don't compete as often. I help train the kids & young adults, doing drill, mitts, footwork, curcuit training, running, ect. I love see the them achieve in positive directions! Kid Gloves is dedicated to the "Truely Natural Athlete." I still love the "Boxers workout" and continue to push myself to reach new goals and achievements.
Also, I assist my friend with his promotion company that hosts Boxing, Mauy Thai Kickboxing, Mixed Martial Arts, Grappling, and Charity Events.
I am currently studying for my personal trainer certification and speaking with a counselor about going back to college and majoring in athletics.
My daughter keeps me on my toes and is growing up fast. She is playing the guitar and is putting a band together. Music seems to really be her thing. Hey maybe we could get Half Pint to sit in and play drums.
Special thank you to my daughter for helping design an update my page. It is one of the rare moments we get to be best friends and not mother/daughter.
