I graduated from NC State University in May of 2006 with a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Biotechnology. I was in the NC State Marching Band and the Basketball Pep Band throughout college, playing an Alto Saxophone. If you haven't noticed already, I'm a big fan of NC State.
I was born in upstate NY but I've been living in Raleigh, NC for the past 11 years. My parents are from southern Illinois so to hear me speak I sound a little more like a midwesterner rather than a northerner or southerner. I still always say that I'm from North Carolina though since I've been living here for so long.
I'm a thinker and a good listener rather than a talker but I'm more vocal when I'm around people that I feel that I know fairly well. I'm a very task-oriented person and not so people-oriented. Although I'm not very outspoken I still like to make people laugh. I tend to think that people see me as talented, thoughtful, intelligent, soft-spoken, reliable and kind. That's not to say that I think I'm perfect or anything because I'm most definitely not. I'm probably seen as being serious but those that truly know me (my family and a handful of close friends), know that under certain conditions I can be quick-witted, silly and/or goofy, typically when you least expect it.
I wouldn't be the person I am today if it weren't for God, who sent His Son to die in my place for my sins. My relationship with God is the very most important part of my life. My family is also very important to me.
