„Music is art. And art is freedom.“ (Vember)
Freedom it is also that has written its track throughout his –
although still very short – curriculum:
Aged 11 years he discovered the magic of piano music and
managed to learn playing by himself. Successfully, for only
about half a year later he was already able to play little
melodies made up in his mind. Since then, his credo: growing
on your own demands, still remains unchanged.
And grow he did: only 16 years old, he got his first offer to
play at a theatre.
But at the same time he also started a crafting apprenticeship
lasting for 3 years (of which today he says, being glad to
have passed it in full possession of all his fingers...).
After finishing his apprenticeship, his actual career began:
Being 19 years in meantime, he was drawn again to the piano of
a little Berlin theatre.
10 months later he went to an audition for the musical „The
Third Wave“ and got a part as actor/singer/dancer for a
supporting role. „The Third Wave“ was mentioned in press and
some of the musical’s songs were also played on radio.
Again 10 months later he was offered his first music
contracts, as well as the job of musical director at a
theatre. He decided to accept the theatre job which meant less
artistic compromises and more freedom.
At this time he also was at junior college, and three years
later – when graduated – he quit the theatre job to
concentrate on studying the subject of music and media
management at “L4 Institut für digitale Kommunikation”,
Berlin.
During this time he also made friends with Dennis Zöllner, who
was studying film and TV design at the same institute and
writes poetry since about 10 years.
Both of them quickly recognised an artistic fellow in each
other and thus an intense collaboration started, which up to
now brought about a lot of – still unpublished - projects
(including at least two studio albums and several movie
ideas), with one of them leading to get him a contract with
„CI-MEDIAPRINT“ this fall.
