People are made by sounds. The sound of movement, the sound of blood pressure, the sound of heart beating, the sound of stomac, eyes, tears, bones, breathe. Everyone is a sound himself and produces his own sound. A baby, before seeing the light, may just listens sounds inside her mom's belly. A man, when he borns, screams his sound to the whole world. Same stuff for nature. So we make our life trought sounds, like speaking, and we build connections between us and others mixing everyone sounds. A lot of humans admit that their lifes are contained in few songs, reminding them peoples, places, feelings. When we die we stop producing sounds....... Fabio Serrao started his music journey at the early age of five, when , under suggestion of his parents, he started studying classical piano. This first music experience lasted ten years and gave him the best knowledge as a piano player and as well as a music writer. At the same time his musical taste was feed by the wide collection of records of his father that introduce him into the world of sounds and music production. That collection included rock, funky, electronic and jazz music of a decade between the 70’s and the 80’s. At twelve, after a discussion with his music teacher (that had different ideas on what ‘real’music should be..), he got his first synth and started to make his own music and soon he was involved into that movement called techno and into the new art of sampling. Using someone else music to create his music was so crazy to him that he started performing live more like a sampler player than like a wheel spinner and this kind of performing in the early 90’s was made by very few in the Rome area. Using the sampler stimulated his curiosity and lead him into hip hop movement… and this is where he started collecting vinyls. Hip hop took him into different experiences in New York city where Fabio improved his knowledge of music production…and of life in general of course. Even tough hip hop was a part of his life house music was always around the corner and his love to perform as a house dj grown during the years. His sets are always very eclectic, full of different kind of music from deep house to techno, passing trough electro and progressive tunes. As a perfectionist he’s never really satisfied…so he always feel as a beginner.. keeping his curiosity alive and always looking at music with passion and respect.
