The R.O.U.S.'s started in late 2004, when Ray and Mike who worked together, started jamming. At the time Mike was also in two other bands ( The Divide and Attention Span). Ray, who's last band, Area 51, out of Whittier, had broken up in 1999. Ray was excited to start playing again after seeing Mike's two other bands perform. Ray had told Mike that he wanted to start jamming again, and Mike told him to bring his equipment over and that they would jam. At that jam, they just clicked. In the next few months to come, they had written three songs and got together a few cover songs from the Misfits and Social Distortion. With Ray and Mike locked into there spots they talked about a drummer.Tim, Mikes' sisters's boyfriend had asked Mike if he could store his drums at Mike's new house. He said yes. When Ray heard that, he asked "what about Tim as our drummer?" Mike thought about it and said that he hasn't played in awhile. Then Ray told him, "it doesn't hurt to try him out." So a jam was set up with Ray, Mike, and Tim in April 2005. It went well and Tim was added to the line up.Since then The R.O.U.S.'s have written a numerous amount of original songs and have recorded a demo that you can pick up at our shows. The R.O.U.S.'s also have limited edition T-shirts selling for $10. We also have stickers 4 for $1. We also have patches for $.50.Unfortionally our drummer Tim decided to leave the band in April 2006. We wish him all the best. You will still see him at our shows. We auditioned a new drummer this June 2006. It's a chick. Her name is Britney, formally of R.D.P. (Rowland Drunk Punks).The way we came across Britney is kinda funny. Ray was getting gas from mobil in Rowland Heights by his house. Two punx came up to him and asked him for some spare change for a bus. Ray always willing to help out a punk in need gave the 2 punx a dollar. The 2 punks walked over to Rite Aid. Ray also needed to go to Rite Aid to get some stuff. Ray saw one of the punx he gave a dollar to buying beer which he thought was funny. Cause they didn't need a bus after all. But when he was walking out Ray stopped him and the punk turned around all nervous like if Ray was gonna be pissed that they lied to him about the bus. Then Ray said to the one punk hey you wouldn't happen to know anyone who plays drums. He said actually my chick plays drums. So he went to go call her. Ray and Britney talked for a bit and she told Ray that her band just broke up that day. So Ray got her number set up an audition at La Casa De Rodentz in La Habra. We worked on 3 original songs first Hermaphrodite, then American Panic, then Chaos And Disorder. She picked up all 3 songs pretty quick which Ray and Mike we pleased with.
