Hello, I'm Ivan Kilowatt.
I electronicly reproduce music.
I’m an Experienced Audio Engineer living in Hollywood, California.
I started working professionally as a soundman in 1984. I'm currently looking for a gig around LA as a house engineer. I am designing, and building a new studio. I own an extensive Mastering Facility, with both modern digital processes, vintage valve, descrete opamp, and passive outboard mastering systems. I've worked as Chief Engineer of the best sounding room in Pittsburgh for six years. Since June 1997, Until January 2008, I’ve run live sound at the #1 blues club in the country, KBA Award Winner 2005, Moondog's. I run an MD machine at all live gigs. I've documented some great stuff! I still do this because of my passion for music, and people tell me I'm exceptionally good at my job.
I've had the opportunity to work with some great artists in my 24 years as an audio engineer. Including: Guitar Zack, John Hammond, Black 47, Debbie Davies, Doll Hospital, Big Sandy & his Fly Rite Boys, Jubu Smith, Devon Allman & Honeytribe, Lil Ed, Florence Henderson, Boy George, Ratt, Will Hoge, Ivan Neville & Dumpstafunk, Tommy Castro, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, Big Brother and the Holding Company, David Lindly, Steep Canyon Rangers, Midnight Star, James Cotton, Bob Margolin, Jimmy Beumont & the Skyliners, Corey Harris, Jimmy Thackary, Little Charlie & the Nightcats, Jason Ricci, Chris Duarte, Tinsley Ellis, Marcy Levy, Chubby Carrier, Pinetop Perkins, Koko Taylor, Honeyboy Edwards, Bernard Allison, Lonnie Brooks, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Hubert Sumlin, Norman Nardini, Charlie Musselwhite, Sonny Landreth, Eric Sardinas, Romeo Johnson, Michael Burks, Gina Rene, Teresa James, Paul Oscher, Barrence Whitfield & the Savages, Donald O'Connor, Megadeth, Anthony Gomes, Larry Keel & Natural Bridge, John Eddie, Donna the Buffalo, Mickey Rooney, Bettye LaVette, Gary Mallaber, Tab Benoit, Shamika Copeland, Chris Cane, Jimmy Ponder, Mose Allison, Lil’ Brian & the Zydeco Travelers, Walt Harper...and more gigs I probably can't remember.
