Bang Out(Wierd)
I was inspired by Hip Hop in 1983, Sugar Hill Gang… What really motivated me to start writing was when I first heard Slick Rick’s Ladi Dadi. That’s when I realized this was the time that it became fun to me. It became fun, and and then 86 came, the year that’s when KRS came out with South Bronx. Going back you know just when I fell in love, I was in love with Hip Hop from day one especially when I seen Beat Street, Wild Style, Breakin’, that right there captivated me, made me love hip hop. And um, pretty much 86 was the year that that it really changed my life when I heard Eric Bs president, KRS1 South Bronx, the Bridge by MC Shan. It was when you know that was the year hip hop starting getting really big. From Block parties to House parties, hip hop was something that kept me going. But when I really started taking it serious was in 89. 89 was the year when I really started writing and decided that I wanted to do it professionally. I always tried to stay away from what was going on, I always tried to stay original. Took bits and pieces from a lot of artists and made my own style. Was always critized by being different, and that’s when the name weird began. It shows everytime was in groups and for some reason was always the one that shined the most. Therefore I always felt that I was the chosen one and um, went through a lot of trials and tribulations through the years. Almost got signed, but the label wanted us to change our image and that wasn’t happening. So independent it was. And years kept going I realized that no label would make me I would make the label. No label would shut me out if so, I would break the doors in, that’s where bang out came in. ran into a lot of people that claimed that they wanted to, but never did anything, just talked. Realized that talking gets you no where actions speak louder than words. Hip hop will always be hip hop is my heart my soul my everything
