Norwegian Pop/Rock band The Chairs has since it's inception in the late 1990's been subject to much appraisal and has through numerous live shows and several records of exeptional quality become known for being a very trustworthy group of musicians both when it comes to pure songwriting quality and live rock entertainment.In april 2006 The Chairs went into the world-class NRK studios in their hometown Stavanger and proceeded in the course of five days to record their third album "OIL CITY". After two years of fine-tuning, the album was finally released last september on the legendary Kippers records, the only record company ever to sport a fish on their label (check out www.kippers.no).
