To Prevail means to overcome. Such a word is befitting to name 23 yr. old, rap artist, Glenn Morton of South Jersey. Prevail has a hunger and will to succeed at his lifelong passion for music. Setting out to break the popular notion that the best rap artist's hail from New York, he has honed his craft over the years and has managed to do exactly what his name entitles...PREVAILHis first memorable inspiration came when he was only 8 yrs old while watching his uncle (K-Divine) of the group Brickyard performing on stage, Prevail knew that performing was his passion. Aside from his uncle the biggest inspiration for Prevail's unquenchable passion to perform was the late, great Tupac Shakur. Through his thought-provoking lyrics, Prevail recognized the heart felt struggles that Tupac so vividly portrayed and comments that, " he was a little man , who had a big mouth, who knew what he had to say was worth listening to: Tupac's lyrics were real!, he didn't hold back to spare the feelings of his listeners, he spoke on what he felt."
