23 year old Nikkita is gaining momentum. Following up from her demo of last year, Nikkita has has just finished a mixtape with production from two very talented beat makers- Marz1 and Suckerpunch a.k.a George Byrd. It is called Hypothesis and is a double CD mixtape released alongside The Tongue. It features such artists as Australian hip hop pioneer Defwish and local heavyweights Hyjak and Kye. Nikkita has performed shows in Byron, Melbourne and Brisbane and at Sydney venues- The Gaelic Theatre, The Metro Theatre, Factory Theatre, Oxford Arts Factory and Good Vibrations Festival '08 to name a few. She has been invited to share sets with The Tongue, Hyjak and DJ Amy (Macromantics' DJ) and has supported Urthboy, Spit Syndicate, Thundamentals, Combat Wombat, Horrorshow, etc, etc.... and the list is lengthening.
You can hear Nikkita on "Syd City Mixtape Vol 2" (mixed by Jack Prest), "Aussie Girls Mixtape" (mixed by DJ Amy- Macromantics DJ) and Percussion Junction's LP "The Beat Cartel".
