Fear the Talon

About Me

Fear the Talon was formed in 2006 in a New Delhi basement and was simultaneously the best and worst high school band ever unleashed on the city. They organized a bunch of shows, forgot how to play their theme song, named a cardboard box-o-lantern Hans and destroyed it onstage. They self-released their debut album, “I always knew you were a winner,” at what might have been their last show. There was a big carrot cake that had the album cover drawn in icing, and it was delish. They made just enough money off to pay for the complimentary food and drinks.Soon after, the band was separated between New Delhi, Montreal, and Beijing. Simon did noise on his own, and with Josh. Josh attempted pop and tried not to smack his bass with soft drink bottles too much. Roy recorded metal in his bedroom, and Seb drummed mostly alone and sometimes during bouts of insobriety. One year later, the band reunited in Beijing. They ate a lot, went out to the middle of nowhere to practice, made friends with a neighboring drinks / construction gear shop owner, and played with dogs. One week and three news songs later, they sweat through their clothes at D-22. Two days later, unanticipated, they opened for Joyside, ending collapsed on stage, wondering if they were bleeding.Fear the Talon is: Tiger suit, jumping of the bass drum, distortion distorted on overdrive, broken drumsticks during practice, and some of the best facial hair / guitar you’ve ever seen.
