SP Clarke first started composing music at age four, when he would randomly approach any musical instrument he encountered, hoping to produce a sound from it. He still composes music in a similar manner.
Later, in the sixth grade, he began making up melodies on the family piano. He taught himself music theory, piano and guitar and by age 15 was regularly composing a variety of songs. He formed his first band in his junior year of highschool. That band performed several of Clarke's original songs. Throughout his time in high school, Clarke was known as a musician and composer. He wrote a six song musical that was featured in his school's Tournament of Plays- a musical which was regularly performed for several years after his departure from high school.
Since then, Clarke has composed somewhere around 20,000 songs all carefully collected in spiral note books.
