About Me

Wayne Punter, Laura Punter, Samantha Rees & Andrew Carter - Paranormal Investigators.
Peter Tomlinson - Medium The Paranormal Investigator!
The paranormal world is steeped in mystery.
Who qualifies to call themselves a paranormal investigator?
What does a person have to do to become a paranormal investigator?

Well, anyone can qualify to be called a paranormal investigator, the job spectrum ranges from the professional who travels the world with high tech equipment to the weekend ghost hunter, tape-recording strange noises coming from an attic!
Academic degrees and awards are fantastic, but, they alone will not make someone a "good" investigator!
It's a technical craft where most of the knowledge will be learnt directly on the job and working with other investigators.
To be successful you need to understand the theories and methods of investigating the paranormal and to understand what type of spirit you might be dealing with. You will need to practice using the tools of the trade, and most importantly, develop a keen sense of intuition.
The toughest part of being an investigator is learning how to go into each investigation with the mind of a sceptic! It is the investigators duty to be open-minded and examine the facts of every case for logical explanations or possible frauds.
There are thousands of ghost hunters, but, only a handful of good paranormal investigators.
What make a good Paranormal Investigator?
Paranormal investigators should enter an investigation as a detective would; taking notes, doing interviews, researching locations & backgrounds, taking pictures & video and finally conducting a stake-out, or in ghost hunting terms, an investigation.
The final side of a good paranormal investigator is the role of public debater. Once all the information and evidence has been gathered, the time comes to defend your conclusions. A paranormal investigator must be knowledgeable in their field to remain credible, critics and scientist are not easy opponents, and if there are flaws in the investigation or the final conclusion, they will point them out!
When investigating the paranormal, do not look for any rules or absolutes, there are no guarantees for predicting when and where a ghost will appear.
In some cases their presence is nothing more than a sharp chill, in other cases the ghost cannot be distinguished from a living person, which shows the diversity that an investigator can expect to experience when investigating the paranormal.
Spirits have been seen in the forms of animals, headless bodies and even something as simple as a ghostly hand seen in a darkened corridor. The forms that spirits can take can shock even the seasoned investigators. Spirits have been known to interact with the living or just make acknowledgement with a quick glance or eye contact. In other accounts the Spirits seem unaware of the presence of living people around them.
When it comes to investigating the paranormal the only rule is be ready for anything.
