About Me

A lover of Music. Collector and musician at heart. Played guitar since the mid 80's when I learned that infamous surf hit Pipeline, and the classic Walk Don't Run. Surf rock was my inspiration, all by the likes of The Ventures, The Shadows, Duane Eddy, The Astrounauts, Wes Dakus & The Rebels, Chet Atkins and Many Many others. The heart of my love of music centers around the British Rock of the 60's. The Beatles are definitely the tops, but followed very closely by the likes of The Animals, Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Searchers, The Hollies, and on and on.Been in many bands that have had as large a difference in sounds as my interest of music. Not one band have sounded like the last, always different with more mature knowledge and combined sounds. My philosophy is you never learn by staying the same. The greats never stayed the same, they always changed up, matured and grew. You've never learned all there is to learn. There is always more to learn. My goal is to get back into playing with a band in the nearest future. I currently miss the thrill and love of playing music for a live audience. So any one out there needs a half decent guitarist in the Toronto area, my dates are very open.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

All my musical heros. Paul McCartney, Nookie Edwards, The Fireballs, Wes Dakus, Duane Eddy and the list can go on forever. So sad to never ever get the opportunity to ever met some of the greats that we have lost in the past years. Rock forever.

Music:

Influences are a many splendid thing Indeed. There just isn't enough space to write in all of my musical influences.Top would have to be The Beatles. From there it just trees out way too much. I love it all. Everything from Classical to Country to Rock to Pop to if it has a beat and catches my ear, I will listen to it.I am an avid music collector. I have almost every dam song that has been on the Hot 100 since 1955 to present and growing steadily eveyday. Hence my interests in music.I do have to admit there are some pretty TERRIBLE bands and songs out there for sure. But there are more good than bad.I've been in my fair share of good bands and still watch out for the ones that I like. "Plug" Currently I enjoy the sounds of ALL THE BRIGHTNESS and Ill of Day. Great Local bands that I have met and gotten to know very well. THEY ROCK.

Heroes:

All guitar gods. Chet Atkins, Duane Eddy, Nokie Edwards, George Tomsco, Dick Dale to Eddie Van Halen plus the best Canadian Instrumental band ever Wes Dakus. Just way too many great guitarists to list in such a little space, So my idols get top billing. I salute ALL that make the strings sing loud and wild. Thank you for the inspiration.
