'The Cosmicorus' are a jazz/ folk band with 5 singers, double bass, guitar and sax and they are also a 20 strong choral theatre group available for events, and festivals.
The Cosmicorus - (think The Beach Boys meets Pink Floyd.) The singers & songs span many styles & sentiments; from poetry from guest poets such as Zena Edwards to ambient jazz, world beat & even the odd sea shanty. Cinematic in parts & rich in imaginative insight, the vastly original material evokes widescreen worlds of humour, conflict, joy, pain, serenity & space. Ildikó Kerék conjoured The Cosmicorus through a desire to produce contemporary & experimental music with a range of voices & influences including; Sun Ra, Hungarian folk, Arvo Part & The Nova Singers.

The Cosmicorus performance troupe are an experience for all ages to explore and enjoy. They create an otherworldly environment using 10 voices, analogue noise, original abstract visuals and live performance. They are a walk through ‘Wall of sound’, fusing visual installation and sound performance. It’s a surreal experience, but with beautiful harmonies and electronic frequencies working together, voices soar and weave majestically, the sub frequencies, analogue sounds, outer galatic noise-making and the choral expertise make this a luxurious sonic bath. The singers look like futuristic sci-fi gods and pharaohs, with wireless microphones, they perform surrounding a white stereo sound system that resembles a spacecraft. The amplification enables the sound to wash over a moving audience with clarity and profound effect both inside and outside for festivals and large scale events...... [email protected]
