The violin being her principle instrument, she loves to record music with “a whole sea of violins” as she puts it, that is, music driven by lots and lots of violins, all playing away at once. She is known locally for her unique hybrid of fiddle-playing which infuses lilting Irish accents with African and Latin rhythms and the rich, warm tone quality of her classical training. Her first (and now out-of-print) recording was her debut CD, The Cart Before The Horse!, a series of uniquely-arranged folk tunes done in ‘sea of violins’ fashion, which garnered national attention and was featured on National Public Radio’s “Morning Edition”. A Thousand Reasons Why is her follow-up CD, and also her debut as a vocalist and writer of folk-pop music. She hopes you'll enjoy the songs - Cheers!
