Antonio Portillo aka Porty is a Granada, Spain-based session guitar player.
He has toured/played with a number of artists, including Diana Navarro, Quijano, Nandez (Spanish Pop Idol), Olga Rossano, Andy Timmons, Joey Tafolla and Jose de Castro "Jopi", amongst others.
Discography highlights include his debut solo album "Tangram" (2002, Didactica Musical), Urs Wiesendanger's "Somebody New" (2005, Contante & Sonante - featuring Warren Wiebe, Michael Sembello, Bill Cantos, Jay Graydon, Michael Landau, etc) and "A Christmas Eve in L.A" (2006, Contante & Sonante -featuring Thierry Condor & Miriam Dee). Porty's latest studio recording is "Fly Away: The Songs of David Foster" (2009, Contante & Sonante), a once-in-a-lifetime record that celebrates the art of 14-time Grammy Award winner, David Foster. The album feaures a spectacular cast of vocalists, including Bill Champlin, Jeff Pescetto, Robbie Dupree, Bill LaBounty, Lisa Lovbrand, Joe Pizzulo, Bill Cantos, Cecily Gardner, Frank Adahl, Ole Borud, Arnold McCuller and the unforgettable Warren Wiebe, backed-up by an elite group of studio musicians, including David Foster himself, Porty, Jay Graydon, John Robinson, Nathan East, Abraham Laboriel, Paul Jackson Jr, Michael Landau, Jeremy Lubbock, Ramon Stagnaro and Brandon Fields. Porty can be heard playing his trademark guitar on songs like "The Colour of My Love" or Chicago's "When Will The World Be Like Lovers" (solo by Porty), sharing the spotlight with legendary players like John "JR" Robinson, Abe Laboriel and Michael Landau.
