Miss Luiss Twisted
alias Iris Heitzinger (1980, Linz) studied at the IDA – Institute for Dance Arts at the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz and then became a member of the postgraduate company of x.IDA. In the season of 2002/2003 she was given a scholarship by the Austrian Ministry of Culture. Since then she has been working as a freelance dancer with companies such as Vincent Dance Theatre (UK), Cassani Dance Company (UK), H2Dance (SE, NO), Cie. Willi Dorner (AUT), Cie. Laroque (AUT) and Lanonima Imperial (ES). Iris has been teaching contemporary dance and partnering workshops in Austria, Poland, Canada and the UK. She was also leading company class for Vincent Dance Theatre, Cie Laroque, H2Dance and Lanonima Imperial and worked as a choreographic assistant for x.IDA.
In December 2006 Iris forms the collective cafe mut. together with her collegues Marlene Wolfsberger, Clemens Wenger, Thomas Froschauer and Clemens Salesny. In the summer of 2007 they create their first full evening piece „Hotel Eden“ which is shown in various cities in Austria an Spain.
In January 2007 Iris founds the platform „Miss Luiss Twisted“ which serves as a base for creating her own work. She makes the duo „AnDando con Zapatos“ for the festival Lapsus+/Barcelona in April 2007. Her last production is the solo „Lo Que Es“ which premiered on the 7th of February at the theatre Sala Trono in Tarragona/Spain.
Iris currently lives in Barcelona and - apart from continuing her own creative process - is a member of the Cia. Bebeto Cidra.
