Dec, 2008 UCLA Performance Beethoven Ode to Joy
Andrea Renee Fuentes, soprano, is a first year Master of Music student at UCLA. Ms. Fuentes appeared recently as Nedda (Pagliacci), Pamina (Die Zauberflote), and L'Enfant (L'Enfant et les Sortileges) in the United States and she has performed and studied in Europe in a series of opera and concert performances, including a tour of Italy for the Tuscia Operafestival’s rendition of Die Zauberflote. For UCLA’s 2008-2009 season, Ms. Fuentes appeared as the soprano soloist for Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and as the Countess Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro). In August, 2009, Ms. Fuentes will appear at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica as the Soprano Soloist for the U.S. premiere of the Beethoven Billy Bragg Ninth Concert.
