En Novembre 2007, Ced et Emster se rencontrent avec l’idée de former un groupe.
Ced, bassiste de plusieurs formations dont Blind Addiction, vient de passer 6 mois à composer un album qui lui tient à cœur et est en train de chercher une chanteuse lyrique.
Elevée dans les milieux du Jazz et du Blues, Emster qui a d’ailleurs fait ses armes dans certains clubs branchés de Londres(sa ville d’origine) et à Brighton, apporte sa voix, originale et unique dans le domaine du rock ;
Voici DDC formé.
Rejoint bientôt par Christian, batteur puissant, possédant une précision hors du commun et plus de 20 années de scène.
Ensuite c’est Fredo, guitariste depuis l’âge de 9 ans, qui a tout de suite convaincu qu’il était le guitariste de DDC avec sa technique, son feeling et sa hargne, donnant à la fois une mélodie captivante et un power à notre musique.
Enfin Chris, non seulement complémente le style de Fredo mais apporta aussi une rythmique solide, précise avec des riffs uniques, le plaçant comme un deuxième « lead » plutôt que simple guitariste rythmique.
C’est grâcé aux influences diverses de ces musiciens que Dead Dog Café peut se prévaloir d’un style original, propre à lui-même qui saura vous emporter dans son monde, parfois hard, bizarre et plein d’ émotions.
Ced and Emster met in November 2007, with the idea of forming a band.
Ced, a bassist who had already played in a number of bands, including Blind Addiction, had just spent 6 months composing an album which was very close to his heart, and was looking for a vocalist.
Emster had grown up in a background of Jazz and Blues and had started out by singing in various clubs in London, her home town, as well as in Brighton. Her voice, original and unique in the world of rock, then joined Ced's music.
So DDC was formed.
The band was soon joined by Christian, a powerful drummer who contributed rare accuracy and more than 20 years of experience on the stage.Then came Fredo, who had been playing the guitar since the age of 9, and whose technique, feeling and aggression, giving DDC's music both captivating melodies and power, immediately made him the band's guitarist.Finally came Chris, who not only complemented Fredo's style, but also contributed a solid rhythm with unique riffs, placing him as a second 'lead' rather than a simple rhythmic guitarist.
Thanks to the variety of influences of these musicians, Dead Dog Café can boast an original style of its own, a style which can transport you into its hard, extraordinary and emotion-filled world.
