I am the lead singer for Maida Vale, a heavy rockband from the Netherlands. On this site you can listen to 'Guide to the game of love' from our CD single 'Neo-Bliss' (2005). 'Under the soil' is one of our newer songs. This is an early recording with just guitar and vocals, laid down immediately after the song was composed. More Maida Vale tracks are available on the band's myspace site .
Currently guitarist Ronald Bleys and I are working on material for the third Maida Vale album.
I joined Maida Vale in 2005. Before that I played in several rock-coverbands and in Bag of Bones, an alternative rockband that was started by some friends and me. This band recorded 3 songs in the studio. Two of these songs, 'Martin's Song' and 'Listen', can be heard on this site. We had a good time. Thank you guys and girl.
Besides singing in Maida Vale I took part in a small production in the theatre last year. It was a mix of story telling, dancing, singing and acting. The piece was called 'Mijn hart als enige getuige' (My heart as a sole witness) and was about everybody's longing for true love. Besides acting I did an a capella version of the Deep Purple classic 'Soldier of fortune'. The piece was performed seven times.
