Fonzerelli aka Aaron McClelland based in Northern Ireland smashed onto the scene and quickly rose to prominence becoming one of the most established and hottest production talents in the world with his first release "Moonlight Party" in 2005 which became 1 Download Of The Year on DJ Download and shot his own Mena Music label to 1 Label Of The Year on DJ Download.
Since then he has been remixing for all the biggest artists and labels including Basshunter, Booty Luv, Tiesto, Fedde Le Grande, Ministry Of Sound, CR2, EMI, Sony, Boss, Blackhole, Manifesto, Positiva, Incentive and more as well as producing his own material. His productions have drawn support from the biggest names including Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox, Annie Mac, Sasha, Ferry Corsten, Judge Jules, Fergie, Zane Lowe, Dave Pearce, Jo Whiley, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold and many more from the list of who's who!
2008 saw Fonzerelli personally requested to play with Tiesto at his 10,000 capacity crowd at Privilege, Ibiza, the world’s biggest club as well as his remixes of “Now Your Gone†and “All I Ever Wanted†being featured on Basshunter’s 1 Platinum selling UK album ( 8 for the whole year), the only artist to appear other than Basshunter himself!
Due to his love of melody and vocals as well as nearly 15 years of production experience Aaron has spent much of the winter months composing and producing 2 separate albums; Fonzerelli's debut artist album "Dancing In The Moonlight (TBC)" featuring some of his biggest productions to date as well as brand new material including the summer smash “Dreamin†and the debut from the all singing and all dancing 80s pop combo San Franz Disco.
Aaron is nothing short of super prolific often making 2 or 3 tracks in a day. That may seem ridiculous to some but to Aaron it is natural and in fact he can’t do it any other way. Unusually for such a prolific producer though is the fact that the material is consistently brilliant. He plays all the instruments and again, unlike many contemporaries will use original real synths as opposed to computer emulations and also guitar and vocals.
With Aaron McCllelland incorporating the 80s instruments and sounds into his productions for the past 3 years you could say he was way ahead of the trends but in reality his sound has been one of the driving forces of melodic synth pop dance, with most people being unable to pigeon hole his sound it is often called house and trance in the same breath, even trouse by some. Mostly it’s a style that totally ignores the desire to be minimal that has defined so many of his contemporaries.
Although Aaron constantly is asked to DJ all over the world his real passion is studio production and prefers to spend most of his time at home producing rather than travelling but there are occasions when he has made the effort like when Tiesto asked him personally to play at his Ibiza residency in the summer of 2008.
