A cracked open sun are an instrumental band, formed in October 2007. The idea started when Alex F.(guitar) and Ilias A.(bass) met and decided to make an experimental rock band.
Originally playing as a trio, a cracked open sun exprerienced various line up changes and during spring 2008, Alex S. (drums) and Kinto (guitar,keys) joined the band. After a few rehearsals they finally recorded a couple of their songs at the Blue Flames studio. Song subscriptions *lost between seconds///written for all these times you instantly slip from reality and get engrossed by your thoughts, memories and dreams… *interrupted by fireworks///there are all those sentimentally tranquil times in our lives. Silent and letting life passing by without touching you. Interrupted by fireworks stands for all those beautiful emotional explosions that break this silence and stun you with their beauty..
