About Me

Invasion Entertainment is a partnership in Cambridge Massachusetts started by Sickmen and Lyrical to promote the Hip Hop career of Lyrical after he started out on his solo career after recording several hit singles with X-Caliber then moving from Lowell to Cambridge. Sickmen and Lyrical soon started working with Sickmen's younger cousin Presence and the three soon formed INVASION. The group has been based out of the Coast section of Cambridge where the three all lived along with Presence's younger brother Gift, a multipurpose hype man and IE promoter.

Invasion went on to produce two 12 inch singles with several songs on each recording. The first 12 inch "Why" was released on Invasion Entertainment's own start up label and was worked to national college radio by Papa D of Brick Records receiving heavy airplay throughout much of the country and especially in the Boston market with heavy support by DJ Jimizz, DJ Gee Spin, and several of the DJ's on WERS. The follow up single Salt was a collaborative effort between Invasion Entertainment and My Show Called Life Records after the single appeared on My Show Called Life's "Arrival of the Illest" album generating a heavy buzz. This established INVASION as the newest group in Massachusetts to be contended with landing them in several shows throughout New England and marking the second time in a year the group had a nationally charted college single on their hands.

Lyrical started inserting Invasion into more and more shows, while doubling as a promoter due to a serious need in the Boston Scene. In 2004 Lyrical booked, promoted and managed over 100 club nights for local artists to flourish. Lyrical held the first Friday night Hip Hop residency ever on Landsdowne establishing Axis as a friday night Hip Hop hotspot where every week a local artist would be on the main stage performing during the peak of the night. Several shows at Bills Bar, The Milky Way, The Middle East, The Western Front, Harpers Ferry, Evos, and many other spots would soon follow establishing Lyrical as one of the top Hip Hop promoters in the area of the decade.

Simultaneously, Lyrical would work on his groundbreaking album iNFiNiTi which would be voted album of the year for 2005 in the first annual Hip Hop Awards. Lyrical now a partner and contributing investor in the Mass Industry Committee looks to help make the M.I.C. a stronger force in the Massachusetts music industry in the years to come.Sickmen, and Presence have both been recording new material, and the three plan to record more music together shortly. Sickmen has an album worth of material ready for his first solo album, and Lyrical will look to release the follow up to iNFiNiTi on 8/8/8 appropiately titled iNFiNiTi VERTiCAL.Lyrical also teaches several college courses in the area including Special Event Planning at Lasell College drawing on his experience as a promoter of hundreds of shows and productions over the years. Invasion Entertainment is still located in the Coast and is available to promote or manage your event, book local and national artists, as well as guide the career of several talented artists native to the area.
