About Me

I started playing bass because of the bass player form Tragic Children. My direction in music (life?) changed when I purchased Robert Hurst's "Robert Hurst Presents", Bela Fleck and the Fleck Tones "3 Flew over the Coocoo's Nest" and Col. Bruce Hampton and the Aquarium Rescue Unit's "Mirrors of Embarrassment". I have been playing for nearly 16 years and love learning new ways of looking at music, and intend to keep music as an integral part of my life -- for life. While I would say my influences are the 'usual guys' (in respect to jazz fusion), I performed with a local folk-rock guitarist for nearly a year and felt quite at home musically. During that time I have played in the Holocene, Berbati's Pan and various venues & outdoor events in Portland, The Highdive and other locations in Seattle and Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco.
