DRIVING ON THE RIGHT

About Me

..

Naming themselves after a Senseless Things B Side, Uxbridge four-piece Driving on The Right formed in August 2003. Having grown up listening to bands such as Girls Against Boys and the aforementioned Senseless Things, the band combine these influences with melodic vocal hooks to produce a unique Britrock sound. Within months of forming, the band had recorded and released their self-financed single 'Casualties' which received a tremendous response from online fanzines and resulted in regular airplay on Total Rock Radio. Shortly afterwards the band signed to rising UK label Bravestar after a support slot with Cars As Weapons and embarked on their first UK tour in September 2004. They kickstarted 2005 with another UK tour, this time with close pals Hitechjet. The tour was a massive success climaxing with the band headlining to over 700 people. By Spring 2005, the time had come for the band to record their mini album 'Life starts Here' with Producer John Hannon. (Hundred Reasons, Kids Near Water) The album was released in November 2005 and has Achieved a great response from the music press.
