Andy Ohlrich
Andy plays the violin, viola, and pretends to play the guitar & mandolin. His roots are deeply classically bred, but he started venturing out at an early age and playing in bands with the fiddle that covered genres from bluegrass to hard rock and most in between. He has traveled the globe with his fiddle and had the privilege of creating music with Chuck Garvey of moe., Future Man of The Flecktones, Daniel Rodriguez and many others. Feeding off the energy of the band and reciprocated by fans, he delivers an intense aural outpouring of improvised melodies night after night.
Andy plays fiddle with Kevin Purcell & The Nightburners and contributes to their own unique style of southern rock-bluesgrass. He also can be seen occasionally with Northern Skyline fronted by Chicago great, Bob Perlstein, and the country rock band, Hello Dave.
Andy would like to deeply thank all that have taught, guided, and influenced him on his musical journey, most notably Marianela McCammon, Tammy Ringas, Jonathan Light, Brian Breed, Kevin Purcell, Hello Dave, Uncle Mike, and of course, you – mom.
