Life is short,
so forgive easily.
smile widely.
laugh loudly.
&& love deeply.
Live life to the fullest,
but never regret.
Be thankful for what you have,
&& always remember what you had..

Aug. 21--Man, 18, drowns in San Joaquin River LATHROP -- An 18-year-old Stockton man drowned Saturday after attempting to swim across the San Joaquin River at Dos Reis Regional Park, according to the San Joaquin Sheriff's Office.
Vincent Chun was attending a family birthday party at the park, said Les Garcia, a spokesman for the Sheriff's Office. Around 3 p.m. Saturday, authorities were notified that Chun might have drowned, and he could not be found immediately in the water.
Chun apparently had tried to swim across the river near the boat dock at the park, where there are no lifeguards on duty, Garcia said. The river is about 200 feet wide at that point. Garcia said he did not know whether "no swimming" signs were posted in the area, but he didn't believe they were.
Rescue workers pulled Chun's body from the water around 3:45 p.m. and began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Garcia said. Chun was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

"Vincent Chun... the person who got me out of a gang and told me to think about life. The person who broke up a fight that I ended up bruised in. He was the joy of our hearts, here in Stockton. He will forever be missed. Why did you have to leave so soon? We all will miss him."

"Vincent, you touched many people's lives including mine.. you were the laughter in our hearts and the friend we could always depend on .. always had a smile on your face && always down for anything. Words can not describe how much you will be missed on this earth. Through the years, we had our ups && downs, but I am happy to say that I am blessed to have known you && to have gone through what I did with you. I would do it all over again in a second because it was worth every moment. Thank you for being a friend to me && more than a friend to me at one point. I still have the things you gave me && I will keep them forever. You were a beautiful person .. now you're a beautiful memory .. Rest in peace "
