Layout by CoolChaser Background from flickr userNew changes in life...time for an update..... My little girl is now 3!!!It's so amazing. She is getting so big! She still looks like her daddy, but I do get to see a glimpse of myself in her every once in awhile. She does however act like me.... EXACTLY!!! I know.... I am in for trouble! She is such a smart little cookie! She can spell her name, knows her address and so much more. She just started "Little School" and is so excited to meet her "people." Like her mother, she is a walking jukebox and loves to sing! I love being a mom, but DO NOT want any other children at this point in my life. Nick and I are just enjoying her and loving (almost) every minute of it. As I said, she acts like me so her smart ass attitude is sometimes irritating.... My younger cousin, Kyndra, now resides with us too. I have inherited a 13 year old daughter. She is my uncle Bob's daughter. (He is the one with cancer) She has been through so much and only deserves the best, which I hope that we can provide her. It's been interesting having a teenager, but it's been enjoyable. She is so great with Lexie! Lex loves having a "big sister" now. I am in school yet again, or should I stay still.... for my Master's degree. I am actually getting a dual Master's in Healthcare Administration and Nursing. Kinda cool. I never expected to take this route. I just accepted a new job as a Blackbelt with Six Sigma. It is mainly process improvement and project management. No more patients, families, weekends or holidays. Plus I got a great raise!!! I know there is going to come a point when I will miss patient care, but right now I am excited for a new adventure. I want to be able to take my knowledge from being at the bedside and transform that into better policies and procedures for those we serve. (Now that I read that it sounds a little cheesy, but will open many doors for me in the administrative field!)
