Trying to organize a Committee devoted to starting up another TCU. Goals and Research include: Establishing relationships between local organizations such as YAWR, NYRA etc; Requesting grants from government, radio stations, local organizations, local businesses etc; establish supportive relationships with local underground bands, and recording artists etc; to establish website to spread the word; to use finances smart-like, and to make it better and bigger than before!; to find a useful, safe, inexpensive location in the greater Twin Cities area and to fund raise like a hurricane!
For those of you unbeknownst of the TCU, you can find a little information about it here . Basically it was a great place for High School bands to start up at, and for great shows to take place. The atmosphere was very laid back, peaceable, and exciting. Bands like Dred I Dred, Chicken Poodle Soup, Small Kitchen Appliances, The Cretins, The Whoremoans, Straw Cats, Power Play, PLaquers, Redrum!, EZ Street West, Johnny Cool Man, Just the End, Merge Left, Raga Muffin, The Skastronauts and many many more played at this non-profit teen centre.
