About Me

See Michael's website, www.michaelgmunz.com , for more about his debut novel A Shadow in the Flames (now available).

An award-winning writer of speculative fiction, Michael G. Munz was born in Pennsylvania but moved to Washington State in 1977 at the age of three. Unable to escape the state's gravity, he has spent most of his life there and studied writing at the University of Washington.

Developing his creative bug in college, he wrote and filmed four amateur films before setting his sights on becoming a professional author. Driving this goal is the desire to tell an entertaining story and give others the same enjoyment with his tales as other writers have given him. His short stories, including the award-winning "Finding Victor," have since been published in various magazines.

Michael has traveled in England and Wales, and has an interest in Celtic and Greco-Roman mythology. Currently an employee of his alma mater, he resides in Seattle where he is working on his next novel, tentatively titled Legacy of Memory.

My Interests
