....Before you start reading this bio let me tell you just 1 little but much important fact:- VoodoO- DIED as a band on 14 03 08 but -VoodoO crew- is still going ahead trough the misterious ways of her majesty- -The MusiC-. ....The cause of the dead of VoodoO as a band is unnatural...but as i sad some of US (The VoodoO crew) are still flying trough the unknown wawes ....CHECK THIS SPACE........http://www.myspace.com/voodoospacemak........, a new band formed by the lead guitarist and the vocal of the band ..... so far so crew........................................................ ............................................................ ................................................- -The Story about this band that comes from a small town Kavadarci in the Republic ofMacedonia,begins somewhere in september 2005.We started working with theidea for creating music,which first of all we would like it and will be original in every point of view.(Every member of this band had or still have an active band or some other side project).... ....So, the starting point when we talk about creating was orientated to a style of music which is not so exectable for all kind of ear,without any special strife for the commercial success, but for one "UndergrOund" achievement which will be enough dignifying for putting some serious work and energy.So we started september 2005, but that lasted briefly, cause of the lack of materials needed for one band to work.Demoralized in away we stopped working for an year and a half and in february 2007 we gathered again ,but this time with more serious and professional dedication for the band.In meanwhile there were some gigs around Macedonia with a lot of other band that we respect and also we played on Macedonian Rock Fest 2007 .......Afterwards there were the preparations and and the rehersals for our first studio achievement ,the demo e.p called "The StreeTcOre pUnk e.p" which we recorded in the "Chicken madness" studio which also is a wery known Macedonian label so a few months after the recordings we published that cd as our first oficial edition as -VoodoO-(Environmental e.p.) for the same label and we are satisfied in a way of how it all sounds, concdering the fact that we played as a band all together in real time,or simply- IN LIve. .......The sound of "Voodoo" is very variable , collorfull ,it doesn’t respect any limits and it is not pointed at some specific musical style or expression, so we play everything that sounds o.k to us , no matter if it’s pop,jazz,punk,hardcore ,death metal,ethno ,experimental,postpunk,funk.......... The basic point of this band is to create some original energy trough mixing the varietys of the different styles but in the same moment we try not to lose the originality of our sound not even for a second. .....There are so many bands and music that guided us trough ,so they left big influences in our creating process. We like different artists with different music from different parts of the world ,but this are some of the names that we all like :Sonic youth,Mr.Bungle,Nine Inch Nails, Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, Tool, Jaco Pastorious, Sex Pistols, Joy Division,Happy Mondays,Blur,Dead Kennedys, Faith no More ,Alice in Chains, Rollins Band, The Stone Rosses, Nerve, Smashing Pumpkins, Gang of Four, David Silvian,Arhangel, Labm of god, Messugah(and many others but i’m very lazy to write about it now)...and most of all we admire on one side Manchester’s and on the other San Francisco’s new wave postpunk scene and the New York hardcorepUnk............
