FIVE INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT ME
[An Ongoing List since March 2008, see Blog for previous months]
71. My aviary husbandry obviously needs a bit of work. Igor, my six month old male Ring-necked Turtle Dove, just laid two eggs. I’ve renamed the little minx, Winter, for her wintry mix of colors. Guess I’ll have to find her a real boyfriend, huh?
72. For the first time since we moved into our house I decided to plant a vegetable garden this year, even though I have to use pots to do so. I’ve planted tomatoes, zucchini, cantaloupe, carrots, green onions, pole beans, peas, and two kinds of pepper. Looking forward to fresh garden vegetables again!
73. I finally learned how to use Powerpoint. Yay! [Okay, yes, I was forced to learn how to use it for a workshop I was conducting but necessity is usually what forces me out of my technological comfort zone.]
74. There are fossils imbedded in my limestone fireplaces. No! That is NOT how old I am!
75. There is only one vegetable I can’t stand…lima beans and, by association, succotash!
