Anyone who could answer me this: If a chicken and a half can lay an egg and a half in a day then how long will it take a monkey with a wooden leg to kick all the seeds out of a pickle?
Anything Chris Cornell, Jonah Matranga, or Jason Mraz is sufficient, but I also find a place in my life for 311. 7th Standard, A Perfect Circle, At the Drive-In, Audioslave, The Beatles, Blindside, Bjork, Coldplay, The Cure, Dashboard Confessional, Death Cab, Deftones, Far, Foo Fighters, Gratitude, Halfway to Nowhere, Ben Harper, Incubus(of course), Jack Johnson, Jimmy Eat World, John Mayer, John Frusciante, KNT, Mark Curry, Marley, Raul Midon, Onelinedrawing, Tom Petty, Phantom Planet, Postal Service, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rilo Kiley, Rufus Wainwright, Sinatra, Smashing Pumpkins, Smiths, Sparta, Sunny Day Real Estate(everyone needs a little), Sublime, Switchfoot, Thursday, Trapt (to an extent), Weezer, and so on... width="425" height="350" ..
Where to start? Zombie movies are a must because I am a big believer of crappy movie nights and since there has yet to be a zombie movie created that has the scare effect that it was going for, they are always good for a laugh. Black and Whites and Musicals are always fun. Some foreign movies, comic book movies are a must, basically anything that can either entertain me either with special effects, a good story well executed, or keep me laughing with bad effects that could be called special in only with a hint of sarcasm and the accompanying air quotes and usually a poorly written cliche story to go with it makes for a memorable movie night.
I was hopelessly addicted to gilmore Girls for a while. I'll watch Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and Scrubs and day of the week. I Love/Hate the food network channel. Rachael Ray can bite me, alcoholic. And whatever else is on the brain rotting box at the time. I have also been a part of a Surf Girls marathon one time...one of my proudest moments.
Anything by Robbins is a necessity, but Fierce Invalids is on the top of my list. Vonnegut, Lewis Carrol, can be found in my collection. Just getting into Palahniuk. I am attempting the Lord of the Rings series just to say that I have read it, but we shall see how I do. I've probably read the first 20 pages at least 10 times within that last 2 years, but that's as far as I've gotten, impressive I know. I am always open to suggestions too...hint hint.
Everyone willing to put up with me is my hero. But On a serious note, which doesn't happen often, I admire everyone close to me in one way or another. My heterosexual lifemate is the most honest person I know and she puts all of herself in the relationships she has. Way to be the Jay to my Silent Bob. Jedi Nguyen is a wonderful friend...she has the honesty between friends down, but executes it with the compassion and wisdom of an old woman, someone you know is right and they told you with such love and encouragement you can't hate them for it. JW is stubborn and my provider; she gives even when I say no. The many who make me laugh are people I could not live without. My sister constantly makes me laugh whether she wants me laughing at her or not. She drools, she has the attention span of a goldfish, loves disney channel movies, and her game/TV face is unparalled. The people I admire most have compassion, Drive, Trust and Giving souls greater than anyone I have ever met and anyone I am ever likely to meet. They give everything they have; if they have one they offer it to you and with a good long argument you end up with at least half because they wont take no for an answer. I aspire to be even half of what they are. I want to inspire others the way these people inspire me. I am so lucky to have them in my life. Oh...I almost forgot...
