MIRNY ATOM

Mirny Atom is a mixture between a band and a production studio. It is located in the city of St. Petersburg and consists of only 2 men capable of doing nearly everything if we talk about modern electronic music. With a huge experience gained from the years of playing, recording and touring with numerous bands, these two banded together in the year of 2002 to produce music loops and construction kits that are widely used in modern music nowadays. It’’s first release was a tremendous success as they signed a contract with SONY Multimedia Software and in the end of 2003 “Sweet & Low Bass” - a CD containing 808 bass loops gained worldwide distribution. The second contract was signed in 2004 with BIG FISH AUDIO, the leading music library producer in the USA, with whom MIRNY ATOM released 2 CDs: “Chill: downtempo loops and beats” and “Rock Bass”. Just the name of the albums show variety of styles Mirny Atom is into. The guys made so many loops themselves that it was quite natural that one day they started making their own music out of the loops they have created in the coarse of years. And now you can hear it: fully electronic music but made of live recorded loops it sounds like a live band, expressing emotions of joy and fear, sadness and love. But all - with truly atomic energy.
