FreeMoney - With a Little Help From my Friends.... ____________________________________________________________ _______________ Calgary-born musician, FreeMoney Lee, has gone through an array of different names, including both his stage name, and his genre. A mix of emotionally-raw creativity combined with dark scratching and experimental vocal tracks, FreeMoney/ The 5ifth is an inventor like none other. ____________________________________________________________ _______________ Currently, FM has several full-length albums, including Skipping Stones, Sophisticated Fairy tales and his newest release The Pre-School Sessions, all recorded in various studios he has created along the journey which has lasted over 10 years. With nothing more than a Sampler, Three Turn-Tables and a Microphone', random guitars, an assortment of percussion, and other wind instruments, he builds on former songs and gives birth to contemporary pieces almost daily. Most recently, FreeMoney was featured on The Muse: A combination of spoken word, audio collages, and beautifully written Hiphop tracks by his brother Homage, from Internal Affairs. FM layered the entire album with the tables, and produced ‘The Ouctropus’, the outroduction track for this revolutionary album, released earlier last year. ____________________________________________________________ _______________ On that note, FM has also been working very closely with a newcomer to the Hiphop game, Jon McQueen and his crew, in creating a new flavor of Hiphop, mixed with punch-lines and hard hitting beats. Aside from producing Jon McQueen’s debut album, FM is also working closely with Homage in the upcoming year on another album, outlining the mystery of the Giant Octopus. This upcoming album will appeal to those within dance clubs, but will also accommodate those with political and spiritual sensitivities. This album is expected to take our Canadian fans by storm as FM and Homage will be touring the Canadian backcountry for this anticipated project. ____________________________________________________________ _______________ Still carving new paths from the ones he's paved, FM continues to show dedication towards the music he creates.
