LaPenta and trained by Nick Zito, War Pass won all four of his races in front-running fashion. In his 4 3/4-length Juvenile win at Monmouth Park, he registered a 113 Beyer Speed Figure, the highest by far for a 2-year-old this year and one of the highest in any age group.War Pass started his career by winning twice at Saratoga prior to the Champagne at Belmont Park.
