Rogelio Luna J.R. (born August 20th 1992) better known as KayWon is a 17 year old song writer/recording artist. Born and raised in Ft.Worth Texas. He first started getting into writing lyrics when he was just thirteen years of age at his cousins house, then he started recording and really getting into it. Smoothvega a family friend/ a big brother to KayWon has noticed that he really wanted to get into music so he schooled him into the game and also giving him his name Kritikal 1 then later shortened to KayWon. He began writing and recording songs then later performing in front of 1000+ people and getting the chance to open up for a platinum artist Frankie J. Being part of Self Made Movement he has gotten much experience from being onstage to meeting celebreties and hanging out with them now really how many people his age can say that around here? KayWon has stayed dedicated to music since he first began looking up to Eminem, 50 Cent, Ludacris, and Slaughterhouse he wishes one day to be on that level, but since the music industry has been populated with so many rappers trying to make it he will do what he can to be loved and known for his music. Late 2008 was a very tough year for him cause the person that believed in him the most his dad had been incarcerated. That slowed him down very much he turned into being a negative person and just not caring as much, but until the day he got to see his dad in person and being asked to continue chasing his dream, being a good person, and just being productive had really changed him so he promised his dad he will continue for him. Motivated by his two brothers, three sisters, mom, dad, cousins, a couple family members, and everyone that cares he will not stop doing what he loves. As in an album being made he will do that later in his career, because honestly not many people want to buy a cd from a youngster so they wont give him a chance.
