Band Members: Josh, Joe, and Tony a.k.a. Dr. Pepper
Influences: Each one of us has our own influences. Joe, the bassist, has his heroes rooting from the 60's Classic Rock Bands such as The Who, Yes, Stanley Clark, Pink Floyd, Steppenwolf, Moldy Peaches, The Beatles, The Kinks, Johnny Winter, Edgar Winter, Bob Dylan, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, and John Lee Hooker to name a few. Tony, drummer, has his favorites coming from Tool, System of a Down, Neil Pert, John Bonham, Keith Moon, Chad Smith, Lars Ulrich, Steve Coplin, Primus, Guns N Roses, Danny Carey, and Led Zeppelin. Josh, me the guitarist/lead singer, have influences from the new contemporary rock bands like The White Stripes, Amateur Transplants, That1guy, Mika, Dresden Dolls, Utada Hikaru, Jonathan Coulton, Tegan and Sara (before they did it for the money), Electric Six, MC Lars, Katy Perry, Tenacious D, Rick Astley, T.a.t.u., Ben Folds/Ben Folds Five (though really only Ben Folds matters to me), Nerf Herder, Franz Ferdinand, The Aquabats, The Pillows, The Hush Sound, and Wolfmother. We think this strange conglomeration gives us a very unique sound which makes a very broad audience capable of finding us to be a very wonderful band.
Sounds Like: For the most part, each one of our songs has its own sound. From the soft When I Met You with piano and acoustic guitar to the hard screaming Johnny and the Pancakes. We have songs that have a more 'POP' sound such as Obvious Mystery to a deeper eerie sound like Dilemma, so the easiest way to describe our sound is "complicated yet simple." There aren't any insane guitar solos, but there's not always guitar in our songs either. Think of a bunch of different rock bands and combine them all and that is what we sound like, except even better. Really though, you should listen to at least 4 of our songs before even considering to boycott us because hey plenty of bands have like 7 crap songs on their albums and only have 2 good ones which you already know because of the radio. We just classify those as Emo and try to forget about them but really listen to a few and see what you think. And to clean up the air, we really have nothing against emo bands, that just isn't our style, yet we still respect them and understand the talent it takes to play any music, especially in an industry that produces as well as emo.
