Slipping Stitches is a Rock N' Roll band from Hellsinki, Finland . Slipping Stitches plays straight on melodic hardrock with a touch of ever so sweet glam, but they just call it Rock N' Roll. The band was founded in spring 2001. Back then the bands name was Peace of Mind (named after a Michael Monroe album) and it was under this name that the band recorded "No Privacy", the first promotional CD single in the summer of 2001.The band had the unique chance to work together with one of the true legends of glam rock, Michael Monroe from Hanoi Rocks. He co-wrote and produced two tracks and contributed with both lyrics and background vocals on the single. This was to be the first major step into the Rock N' Roll business for the band, and by then there was no coming back. After facing some problems promoting the band with a not so unique name the band decided to change its name to Slipping Stitches (unique and more than often misspelled…) in the spring of 2003.The second major step for the band was in May 2004, when Slipping Stitches released their first independent full length album titled "Melody Cruise". The CD is all about beautiful melodies, big harmonies, and screaming guitars. The CD caught directly the focus of the media in several countries and received some great reviews. The third big leap for the band happened in spring 2005 when there was a major change in line-up. Slipping Stitches now consists of Cashmire – lead vocals / guitars, Dizzy – bass / vocals, Samuli – guitars / vocals, Tony – drums / vocals. A new promo CD is scheduled to be released in the fall 2006. Some serious touring will also be done.With the new line-up working better than ever, the Stitches are ready to take over the sinful world of Rock N' Roll.
