DJ ULLI BRENNER

A FEW OF HIS RELEASES, PRODUCTIONS & REMIXES:

Having studied Marketing Advertisement and Marketing Communication Host he began his DJ career at the dance-school "Simon" in Bad Homburg in November 1979. Also working there was one of his forerunner, Michael Cretu, who has several years since become famous with "Sandra" and "Enigma."
In 1980 Ulli Brenner became resident DJ of Frankfurt's "Vogue" club. This club, later named "Omen", was history in the making as it played a significant role in the history of electronic music. Ulli Brenner, however, was not to partake of it's success. He celebrated his third DJ birthday party in the equally legendary "Dorian Gray" at the Frankfurt airport. There he played from 1982 until the end of 1987 when Sven Väth became his successor. In the following years he worked as a self-employed DJ until in 1993 the Paramount Park Disco was opened in Rödermark. Ulli DJ'ed there until the end of 1998 as resident DJ.
Since January 1994 Ulli has been resident DJ of the HR3 Clubnight, which has been operating under the name "XXL Clubnight" since May 2001. Through the HR3 Clubnight and the HR club Clubnights, Ulli became well-known and is now amongst the most demanded DJ's.
With the publication of the Super Maxi 5th Edition on Teldec in 1984, Ulli became one of the first DJ's in Germany who was granted permission to make a non-stop Clubmix for a major Record Company. A number of his productions became dance chart successes.
His big breakthrough as a producer came in 1994 with "La Bouche". As a result he became one of Europe's most successful producers. Altogether, he has received worldwide Platinum 7 times and Gold 11 times. Having also made a name for himself as producer for clubbing sound, Ulli Brenner produced a re-mix of the radio-edit "Salva mea" from "Faithless" for which awarded Gold. Towards the end of 2000 as well as the beginning of 2001 Ulli and his new studiopartner Mitch /VELVETUNE MUSIC celebrated further successes with "Ultra/Free".
Other well-known productions of Ulli Brenner and VELVETUNE are, to name just a few: "Modus", "Uluru", "D.A.4" ,"Rayo Verde", "Deep Space 5", "Phonic", "Outsider", "Audiotube", "Ichi Ban", "Chapter & Page" , "Sunflake"and "Jay Harker".
