One Third Wish

One Third Wish is an acoustic/electric rock duo fronted by two Baltimore area musicians: Linda Coté and Kimberly Spath (that’s us). We have been working together in numerous musical projects for the past 12 years, including the Linda Coté Band, Groove Junction, and Call Me Lucid....and yes, until recently we were known as Third Wish. But it turns out that A LOT of people thought of that name too, so we became ONE THIRD WISH. Get it? You only get one third wish. Moving on.....One Third Wish features Linda on acoustic guitar, percussion, and vocals, and Kim on electric guitar and vocals. We have played all over the mid-Atlantic region and have an established following from the Delaware beaches to Northern Virginia (that would include our home state of Maryland, of course). Our song list includes cover tunes and some originals, and ranges from acoustic ballads to powerhouse rock, pop, country, and alternative styles spanning the 1960’s to today, so we will surely play something you like. Our trademarks are our full sound, tight harmonies, and the way we “unplug” songs that other duos do not typically attempt. We do songs by a wide variety of artists, including Maroon 5, The Clash, Bush, The Doors, Stevie Nicks, Foo Fighters, K.T. Tunstall, Peter Gabriel....and many others. The One Third Wish demo (some of which you can listen to right here on our MySpace page) is an unaltered live recording – it is the raw feed from a digital recorder on the stage during an actual performance. This is what we sound like in the room - everything you hear on stage is being performed live – no fake karaoke-like accompaniment of any kind! We use a state-of-the-art Bose® system that sounds crystal clear and takes up very little space – we love it and you will too!So....Become our friends! Read our blogs!
