There's two of us.
We are quite keen on music.
We met what seems like a long time ago - (inevitably) at a gig (Ultravox, Plummet Airlines and Dave Edmunds Rockpile, if you're interested). Somehow, we've never looked back.
I guess clocking up 40-100 gigs a year, that makes a hell of a lot of gigs over the years - but we still get energised and (over)excited.
Over the past few years, we've discovered an exciting and vibrant new seam of Welsh music - mainly through the brilliant Radio Wales DJ and music obsessive Adam Walton.
Through him, we've had the pleasure to have experienced Glow, Viva Machine, Soft Hearted Scientists, Gethin Pearson and the Scenery, The Automatic, The Spencer McGarry Season, The Mams and a host of other excellent bands and performers.
And the continuing effect of seeing one band then links to another - for example, when we saw Glow recently, they said, 'What did you think of that? - absolutely brilliant!' - unfortunately, we'd missed the support, Fredrick Stanley Star, but did catch them (twice) the following weekend - including a wonderful 'pick up an instrument from your table and join in' gig in a small, intimate cafe in Cardiff. The handful of bemused Czech football supporters in there after the game against Wales obviously thought this was a typical Saturday night in the capital. A magical and superb night.
The night before, Fredrick Stanley Star told us we had to stay to see the headline band they were supporting - Truckers of Husk. They were right, and we were knocked out.We are incredibly grateful to Adam Walton and to the bands who continue to give us so much amazing music. And it's just getting better all the time.
