June 5, 2008 – Spiritual Intervention out of Silikona contest

Although putting down a decent gig, Spiritual Intervention did not make it to the semi-finals of the Silikona contest yesterday night. Bad luck.

For now SI will concentrate on recording the first album. The release is planned later this year.

May 6, 2008 – Spiritual Intervention in semi-finals Silikona contest

Yesterday Spiritual Intervention was selected to continue to the quarter-finals of the Silikona contest by audience votation. The quarter-finals will take place in Sala Silikona on a to be announced date. Check back at the upcoming shows section for the confirmed date.

Having officially presented their first music video Valley of Words with a lot of positive critics, Spiritual Intervention is ready to let it rumble. With two new members on guitars to reinforce the atmospheric death metal band from Madrid (Spain), they are upto hitting the road.

Originated as a project of Davinia back in 2003 in The Netherlands, Spiritual Intervention rapidly adopted the figure of darkness mixed with deeplying melodies.
Guitars, bass, keys, vocals, and drums were merged to create the dark melodic powerful sound, which was first released upon the audience on MetalWays 2004 (The Netherlands), followed by a small Spanish tour in the summer of 2004.
After this successful start the band fell apart shortly to be refounded at the end of 2004 in Spain. As a result of the change in line-up new compositions were more compact; ready to be projected on the crowd on, among more, MetalWays 2005 (Spain) and Anti-Christmass 2005 (Spain).
As well 2005 brought the band to record. A mixture of older and fresh new compositions resulted in their first four-song demo: Valley of Words, a compact song with an adventurous melody to be taken away. Empty Eyes, the classic one with a sing-along chorus. The Drowned, calm beginning, but evolving in a melodic and rhythmic epos. And last but definitely not least, Prison of Chaos, a ballad talking about the feeling of being imprisoned in the chaos of life.
The next few years the band worked hard on new material and did only a few local gigs.
Anno 2008 the band can announce that with the current line up they are stronger than ever. Plans for international tours and the long awaited album are being made.
