Dantan Humble Music Biography Singer and Songwriter Dantan Humble was born in the Parish of St. James in Jamaica. He also learned the trade of a fisherman and a car mechanic. Inspired by the music and the career of his two well known cousins, the Godfather of DJ..s U-Roy and Dr. Alimentado, Dantan Humble also developed his own musical vibe and inspiration to write and play music. He started his career as most Reggae singers and artists in Jamaica playing and toasting for soundsystems, and he also performed on various calypso competitions in his early days. In 1982 he first travelled Europe and played at the Pink Pop Festival in the Netherlands with the Band Maroones. Travelling most countries in Europe Dantan Humble played on various occasions in the years 84 and 85 to support the activities against the famine in Ethiopia. The biggest show was played for 20.000 people for the project Menschen helfen Menschen in Germany with the Band Ghetto from the Netherlands. In 1992 he returned to Jamaica where he always finds the right vibe and inspiration for his music and songwriting In May 1993 he came back to concentrate on his career as a recording artist and toured Germany, Holland, France and Ghana / West Africa with the Ark Angels. Various recording projects with the XS-Gang and the Ark Angels at the Rheinklang Boris studios in Germany and the Iris Studios in the Netherlands. It..s A Feeling is the first Single recorded with the XS-Gang and released by Red Arrow and distributed through SPV in Germany. 1995 until 1996 Dantan Humble returned to Jamaica again not alone but with a German TV-Team ( Voxtours ) and made a documentary-film about Jamaica , Reggae music and Rastafarian-culture. After he went back to Germany, he toured in the most famous clubs and festivals and gave his best in his musical expressions. He also released a song with the title True Love and the compelation Dancehallpower Volume 1 together with Gentleman, Dutchie Gold, Donabbi and Chicken George.
