as sparks fly upwards

as sparks fly upwards|, a one-man-project, was founded in march 2003, after closing the first projects named |cyberdyne systems| (2003) and |comlink| (2003-2004). Today we can regard these projects as a kind of "learning-phase" for making the first steps in arranging music and samples. After buying new hardware and changing the software I was able to insert my own vocals and the style of my music changed from instrumental songs with embedded speech-samples to full vocalized songs. Due to this process, the new projectname |as sparks fly upwards| was born.The first album "..like tears in rain" was dominated by dark electro songs. From 2004 to 2006 I had to spent more time on my kids than on my music, so I released just 2 ep´s with several songs and a few songs on several samplers. In January 2007 I released the album "re-worked" with the results of the last remix-contest. Now, to broaden my mind and the repertoire of |as sparks fly upwards|, I´m working on new songs and maybe the project gets a new singer. Hope we can let the sparks fly ... !?!
