On My Own...Here We Go!

About Me

The only remaining customer has left the coffee shop. Even though I have over 2 hours until closing, I doubt that I will see anyone else. Therefore, I am bored at work...as usual. In light of this, I thought I would put a little update on here.

School has ended and I'm currently looking for a new job to replace Hotel le Cirque. Deciding to work at that property has been a decision that I'm currently regretting. Therefore, I am going to do what I normally do when I make a poor decision...fix it. I've applied at several large hotels, but due to the holiday season I haven't heard anything. I'll be doing follow-ups next week.

I've decided not to attend school next semester. At this moment, I intend on resuming in the summer, but I'm keeping my options open. In lieu of resuming at UNO, I am considering training to be a paramedic at Delgado or attending flight school at the Lakefront Airport. The latter option is my favorite, I am looking into the viability of it.

During my time off I am definitely NOT working my ass off. That would defeat the purpose of taking the semester off. I plan on working as usual. Other than that I think I may take a couple of trips I've been wanting to take.

Oh, before I completely get off the topic of my latest discovery. Due to that, I have a goal to leave New Orleans by the middle of 2008. The current destination is Seattle. That's something to which I am really looking forward.

As of now, I'm still very much single. That's working out fine enough, but it gets old. I may have a date later this week...we'll see how that goes. I'm anticipating it with a small amount of excitement.

I think that's all the update I really have to offer. I'll change this if something else comes up later. As usual, peace out.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I discovered the following song/artist when looking for music for a "Scrubs Playlist" to put on my Zune. It's my new theme song, for the moment at least. The song is called "Have it All" by Jeremy Kay. I've abridged the lyrics, leaving out the chorus repeats. Enjoy!

Some days I feel like crying, Don't matter if it's rain or shine I feel like my heart was broken At least a million times
Some days I wake up dreaming Feels like I never even woke I answer life's big questions As if it's one big joke
Maybe it's too soon to be sure, But I really do believe That someday we're gonna have it all. So I try so hard to keep the rhythm of a train, Rolling right along. When the ride gets rough you've got to carry on Carry on.
Some days I feel like singing. I sit back and just groove the day away. Maybe pick up a guitar And play what I want to play.
Today I feel like laughing. Seems to be no reason at all. And if the world stops spinning, I'm not afraid to fall.

Life is a River

I think that is an absolutely perfect metaphor.  Think about it for a minute.  A river has an origin and a terminus.  Between the two points there are a virtually unlimited amount of tw...

Small Update

Well, I'm back from my mini-tour of the state.  It went well...against my (and everyone else's) good judgment I told the family my latest news.  It actually didn't go as bad as I had thought...

Job Switcheroo

So it's officially official.  I am leaving Hotel le Cirque and New Orleans Fine Hotels as soon as I can find another job.  I really was an idiot for deciding to work there in the first place...

A Couple of Things to Share

I've been sleeping on the sofa lately.  I actually haven't been sleeping very much...mostly napping.  A normal night's sleep hasn't happened in over a week, hoping that tomorrow morning that...

He Won?!

It is absolutely official now...New Orleans is the laughing stock of the country.  If it weren't already true, it certainly is now.  I am amazed that Jefferson was re-elected to Congress!&nb...

AAAAH...this is awesome!

Let me start by saying that I've never been a fan of Windows' interface.  I'll admit that I think XP is the best so far, and Vista will be better.  That's besides the point.  Functional...

Old "About Me"

I thought this was interesting enough to keep, but a bit too twisted for my profile.  New about me coming soon...look for it; they're always interesting!I don't worry as much about the future as ...

HAHA!! It's true!

A guest just commented that the music playing in the lobby of the hotel sounds like the music in a porn video.  I never really noticed it before, but it's so true!  LOL, I think that's hilar...
