LVMMØX (pronounced "lumb-ox") is the twelve year old brain child of the frustratingly indigent Mort Subite. A rabid concentration of style and concept, LVMMØX tunes it's antennae to the heavens and listens for the discourse of quarrelling angels and the final words of dying gods. Why this name?
The common spelling of the band names derivative word (lummox) was taken by a shitty Canadian punk band. The present name form exists to skirt future distribution issues.Do you play live?
LVMMØX has played four shows. Two have been fantastic exhibitions of poor planning and worse performance. Two were fantastic, frenetic improvisations divined from the depths and spearheaded by Murmur himself. Future LVMMØX performances are planned, so keep your ears peeled. How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
This is kind of a loaded question.
People are really divided on the subject. Personally, I believe that filesharing is a wonderful tool and that it dislocates the power of the monolithic beast of the RIAA and trickles some of that power back into the hands of artists and creative minds.
How that power is used (and/or abused) is at the discretion of the creative minds.
Anyone bitching about these issues, however, should most certainly shut up and look for resolutions instead of litigating the crap out of some poor bastard who just wanted to listen to your music.
Jerk.Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
