BLUES FÖR FADIME is a song specially written in memory of Fadime Sahindal, a Swedish girl of Kurdish origin, who was vicitm of an "honour-killing" the case is very well known in Sweden.Otherwise... this band originated when I was approached by the writer Ingemar Härd to help put a group together for his cabaret "Hur fortplantar man sig i Linnéstaden?". The result was so good we decided to make something more of it and have just finished recording our new CD to be released on my old label, Last Buzz Records, in May 2008.I am a Liverpool girl originally, and moved to Sweden when I met I tall blond Swede who walked into my place of work in 1974. Some years later (now in göteborg) I began my career singing blues-rock with DeSoto - a band made up of ex Bad Brother members (big blues band with Sam Westerberg from Nynningen). From there I worked with Göran Svenningsson and we formed "Little Suzy and the Nitestomp". After that I was asked to join Alvar Theler's band Al's Alley. Then I toured for years with Pelle Lindberg & Blue Tones. It was Chicago blues, uptempo and rough. Through Pelle I met Örjan Hill who plays a killer "old time" piano, and we developed a repertoire of classic blues.
