A very wise person recently told me that time is the only non-renewable resource, so how you choose to spend your time is very important. As I now sit here, I'm forced to ask myself, "Self, why are you spending time typing out gibberish to fill your MySpace page?" I quickly respond "Mind your own damn business!"
I was in Minneapolis not too long ago and found myself at a restaurant eating a dish called "Chicken and Waffles." Looking back on it, I must have actually picked it out from the menu, but why I would order such a concoction escapes me at the moment. What, you might ask, is chicken and waffles? well, I'll tell you. It's three large waffles, whipped butter, and maple syrup, topped with mashed potatoes, ham-gravy, and half of a fried chicken.
You: Half?
Me: Yes, half of a fried chicken.
You: So this is like a family style place?
Me: No, this was a single serving.
You: Ick
Me: Yes
As I recall, it was actually relatively good. Either that or I was drugged by some bizarre syrup/ham-gravy combination. The next night I ended up eating something called "Hot Monkey Love," but that's another story.
